Breakthrough!

By shaylaroberts · Comments (0)

You might expect me to say that the big breakthrough comes in the form of a business plan that is now complete. Not! I’m excited because Allan and I have broken through to a new level of thinking about what the plan could actually be.

Our Whisperer voices got together on the phone today and blew the whole thing right out! OMG! We saw, in a new way, the truly revolutionary and timely message we have for the world. And not only a message, but a structure to take people deeply into experiencing that message.

The message: There is so much polarized thinking in our world today, black/white, red/blue, conservative/liberal, elephant/donkey, Christian/Muslim, right/wrong, etc., etc. and all of it is completely missing the point. The only polarity that matters is this: Either we experience our world from a mood of fear and doubt, or from a mood of being open to possibility. Simple, but for each of us, our mood shifts from moment to moment as we react to the world around us.

What if we could create and sustain a mood of being open to possibility? Miracles, that’s what. Even a business plan of our dreams. Yup!

Hold Your Horses

By shaylaroberts · Comments (0)

But I want the business plan to be done now! Right now!!

Everything is in perfect order, Shayla. That’s my Whisperer voice talking to me. Just realize my dear, that the timing is just right because it gives you and Allan plenty of opportunity to grow big enough to have phenomenal success when the plan is complete and investors are excitedly vying for it.

Okay, I say. Trusting the universe here and listening to my Whisperer voice of possibility thinking.

Jiminey Critters

By shaylaroberts · Comments (1)

I was with a woman today who was having a full-on, public Inner Critter attack. They had tied her up such that she just knew she could not move. They had control of her mind, her voice, her body and of course, her emotions. She ranted, she railed, she cried, she swore, she blamed the people around her, she blamed the world around her, she even blamed people who were clearly trying to help her. Wow!

I haven’t seen a Critter storm like that in a very long time. Made my Critters look like pikers.

And then, something wonderful happened. She had just a moment of self-reflection, just one moment, but it was enough of a pause in the pandemonium that she could breath and let another voice in, her Whisperer. Her tone grew softer and lighter as she said, “I know this will pass. I’m just emoting because I feel safe to emote here in this setting.” Amazing.

Just had to share that as a reminder that there’s an eye (an I) in every Critter storm.

Tomorrow, a meeting on the business plan. I’m stoked.

Restart!

By shaylaroberts · Comments (2)

Okay, I’ve finally arrived back at my desk for real––body, mind, spirit and all––and am rededicating myself to this blogging thing. More than a few Inner Critters have made it clear to me that I should feel very remiss in having been absent so long, but I’m Grooving them right outta there!

Current subject: getting the Pond Productions LLC business plan completed, and boy does that feel like herding cats right now. Maybe with my own focus realigned, things will come together in the next few days. Watch for developments, and of course, new and fresh versions of Critter chatter in my head!

Oh My!

By shaylaroberts · Comments (2)

Writing from the San Francisco Writers Conference, after the Friday night gala wine and cheese party! No, I’m not tipsy, just tired, being the inveterate introvert that I am, just the crush of people wears me out. So, a deep sigh and a few minutes of rest before I seriously begin integrating what I’m learning.

Probably the most obvious take away is that the Bold Moves platform with book, online training and group phone coaching is incredibly well positioned to take advantage of all of the most recent developments in the publishing world. Agents are not asking for books, they are asking for books connected to platforms. Allan and I have seen this coming and frankly, I’m very excited that we are ahead of the curve in many ways. We offer amazing value at very friendly prices, transforming people’s experience of life and work.

Now the question is, how to create the listening needed to grow our audience exponentially. If you’ve got ideas or energy for helping with that, do let us know. Next week, I’ll be back to the business plan and would love to include some surprises. Signing off for now.

Exciting News!

By shaylaroberts · Comments (2)

We’re testing a new, 9-question version of the BoldMoves Readiness Index. We’d love you to try it and let us know about your experience. On your score page, you’ll see a link for leaving your comments.

Here you go: BoldMoves Readiness Index And thanks again, in advance.

I could give a hundred reasons why the BoldMoves Readiness Index is important right now, but I’ll keep it to these few:

  • There’s a mood of optimism that’s come with the new year.
  • The longer we wait, the more it begins to melt away.
  • Lots of people are sick and tired of feeling stuck.
  • It’s hard to know how to get going again.
  • Some are tempted to just take a leap of faith.
  • Leaping without looking isn’t a great idea.
  • A truly bold move doesn’t ask for a jump off a cliff.
  • It asks that we listen in a new way.
  • You may be ready!

Typing this post with right hand only. My left is in bandages after a fall onto the desert trail this morning. So, this is gonna be a short one folks.

I am excited, though, about our up-coming beta test and eager to hear from everyone about our new version of the BoldMoves Readiness Index. Watch for an update on Sunday or Monday!

Hanging in the Dangle

By shaylaroberts · Comments (2)

Okay, here I am in between business plan activities. Be patient, Shayla. Some pieces are in the hands of others and the very important review of the financials is scheduled for next Wednesday. So, taking a deep breath here, and trusting.

In the BoldMoves work, we encourage participants to do just that, but you know, it is sometimes easier said than done. This particular case, though is tied to my own growth process of working collaboratively with a team instead of just taking on huge chunks of activity myself, in which case my timing is my own.  I’m very clear about the up side of having others’ input. For one thing, I’m seeing a vastly increased quality of product emerging for the plan. Oh, and here’s a good one, there is spaciousness that comes because I can’t just schedule myself into the wee hours to push through on tasks.

Ah, I like that. Instead of hanging in the dangle, I can shift to spaciousness as a definition of this time between. And honestly, its not that I don’t have plenty to keep me busy if I want to fill that spaciousness up. I’m going to the San Francisco Book Conference next week and will take along a piece about our BoldMoves book. That will be fun. So, excuse me, I’m going to get on writing that right now––but in a spacious hanging-in-the-dangle kind of way.

How Fun!

By shaylaroberts · Comments (2)

Well, today’s meeting was everything I hoped it would be! There’s a draft of the business plan coming back to me sometime before midnight, and great energy for moving forward to get it ready for presentation to others.

Allan and I will crunch numbers again soon to complete that piece. And to top it all off, we have a plan for testing our marketing funnel – something I’ll be sharing here in the next few days, so stay tuned.

I knew when I took on responsibility for getting the plan together that it would be a big job, but I certainly didn’t think it would take so long. Just a lot of ducks to row up – ducks roaming like cats!

We’re on our way, though. How fun!

Pea Soup

By shaylaroberts · Comments (0)

Honestly, my head feels like pea soup just now, a side effect of having let the Critters get me up in the night. Embarrassing, really, as I pride myself on being able to silence them, but the combination of deep change in my life and too many carbs in my dinner created a situation that even the GrooveTool couldn’t remedy. At least not for a few hours.

The good news is that I didn’t fall completely down the rabbit hole. Picture me just at the entrance, pressing with all fours against the sides to keep myself from plummeting belly down into the abyss. Well, you know that place, right? Everyone knows that place.

So while my operating state isn’t optimal, I’m staying away from business planning, but I look forward to tomorrow morning when I meet with Tim and Roger regarding next steps. I cannot adequately say how wonderful it feels to have the support of two brilliant guys.  Despite my head feeling like pea soup, life is good – actually, life is great!!
