Aah, Ease and Grace

Posted by: shaylaroberts | Comments (0)

Who woulda thunk it?

To get to ease and grace we just needed to think bigger, imagine more boldly, and be fully available to even more outrageous outcomes – movie deals, global reach and dream team creative partners. We needed to get out of the box of business plan writing and blow our vision out to the cosmos. Now, I’m juiced and in flow! How about you Allan?

We’ve always carried these visions in our head, just haven’t put them on the front burner until now and interesting that as we do, they are refreshing everything; a new heroine for the Bold Moves book, new interest from the publishing world, a new market target for Bold Moves, new branding with new colors, and new excitement all around––even a new rendering of Jump the frog is on its way.

Just when Inner Critters would have us turning down the heat, we’re operating on high, cooking up new stuff. And boy what fun!

How Fun!

Posted by: shaylaroberts | Comments (2)

Well, today’s meeting was everything I hoped it would be! There’s a draft of the business plan coming back to me sometime before midnight, and great energy for moving forward to get it ready for presentation to others.

Allan and I will crunch numbers again soon to complete that piece. And to top it all off, we have a plan for testing our marketing funnel – something I’ll be sharing here in the next few days, so stay tuned.

I knew when I took on responsibility for getting the plan together that it would be a big job, but I certainly didn’t think it would take so long. Just a lot of ducks to row up – ducks roaming like cats!

We’re on our way, though. How fun!

Ease and Grace

Posted by: shaylaroberts | Comments (2)

It’s Sunday morning and though I am writing this post, I am not working today and that is a real pleasure. To have an entire Sunday away from business plan writing and other Pond Productions tasks is a welcomed treat. For many years, I’ve enjoyed working at least a few hours on Sundays to give my regular work week more space and consequently, more ease and grace.

Ease and grace in your work week? You prioritize that? Yes. I do.

As a personal development professional, ease and grace are the bedrock of my ability to serve both my coaching clients, and our Jump To Action program participants. And it is so rewarding when our clients begin experiencing how they too can make ease and grace foundational to their experience of work, which of course, transforms the whole notion of work into play. Play to win with ease and grace. That’s the P in J-U-M-P.

Tomorrow, (today for many blog readers) I jump back into the business plan which is coming right along now. Soon, I will begin the process of self-management that hopefully will have me taking the plan out into the world in a mood of play to win. Gulp!!

Ease and grace. Ease and grace, Shayla.

Jumping for Joy!

Posted by: shaylaroberts | Comments (1)

So, the  flow chart of our Jump To Action Success Series came together today and I’m feeling just great about it.  What? Actually map out the full journey through BoldMoves Country so that others can see what it is? What a novel idea. Duh!!

The fact that I needed prompting to think about doing this points out two things. One, highly introverted creators like me hide a lot from the world just because they forget to show and tell. And two, I’ve been bouncing off trees so long I forgot there even was a forest!

Anyway, I am feeling my oats even after a long day and once again so grateful for timely promptings from the universe as I steward our Pond Productions business plan forward. Jumping for joy here!

Optimum Yes!

Posted by: shaylaroberts | Comments (1)

For the first time in several weeks of business plan writing, I am happy to report that this morning I have once again restored my Optimal Operating State.

There is a part of me that is embarrassed to have been so bi-polar recently: rainbow-rain-rainbow-storm-rainbow-hurricane. I have this lingering self-judgment saying that as a BoldMoves author and facilitator, I should certainly be able to maintain my own flow of ease and grace.

Baloney Critter! Don’t should on me.

I’ve been performing way outside of my core competencies, truly groping along at times. The great news is that the process helped me recommit to those endeavors that build naturally on my authentic strengths. That’s where my greatest gifts are given, and it just makes life so delightful, a place where rainbow colors and dark clouds simply become a beautiful backdrop to a state of serenity. No boat rocking.

Hanging in the Dangle

Posted by: shaylaroberts | Comments (0)

I just love it when the universe conspires to provide exactly what I need regarding my daily schedule. For instance, after an exciting meeting with Allan yesterday, I am pumped to begin working on the next draft of the business plan. So many compelling opportunities await its completion. But my schedule for today was full and, alas, my next planned writing window was not until Sunday.

Then late yesterday a three hour meeting this afternoon was canceled because the organizer was feeling poorly. And this morning, a client called feeling unwell too, so another hour opened up. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not reveling in the discomfort of my associates, just noticing that I all of a sudden have four extra hours today. A perfect block of writing time. Yeah, ease and effortlessness rule!

On To The Second Draft

Posted by: shaylaroberts | Comments (1)

Look out!  I’ve finally re-inspired myself (writing the Community Involvement and Social Responsibility section of our business plan) and I’m ready to take on a second draft of everything I’ve written so far.

I am feeling so  proud of Allan and me, of our ethics in business, our commitment to give exceptional value, and the deep contribution our Jump To Action Success Series makes to our participants and to society as a whole.

It always amazes me how when I discipline myself to get through the parts of any project that I’m resistant to, a wonderful rainbow of possibility always opens up. Thank you Noah,  it’s glowing now, red-orange-yellow-green-blue-violet!

Does that mean no more grieving, no more self-doubt, no more Critters raising a ruckus? Nope. It means that each of those things has a color of its own and all together, they remind me: No rain, no rainbows!

My Favorite Part!

Posted by: shaylaroberts | Comments (0)

Today, outlining the biz plan section on Community Involvement, what a joy!

As Allan said recently, we could both effuse on this for hours, so the big challenge here is to keep it short and to the business points.  Indulge me, then, while I  effuse a bit here before having to thus constrain myself!

Bottom line, I just love helping people get it––that they can experience life as a well cell in our human biological system. Well cells know who they are and how to live life from passion and purpose in a state of ease and grace.

Rub up against a well cell, and you are likely to feel better yourself. They create a positive viral effect that has every cell around them dancing to a new tune! In this way, well cells actually create well communities. So, in a way, the BoldMoves work is itself, community involvement.

Yee Haw!

I’m back in the saddle again!

Turns out that writing the Management section of the business plan was a breakthrough activity. Oh, and of course my session with coach Sheryl yesterday who gave the little kid in me permission to play instead of work at it.

I teach this stuff! How easily our insight gets fogged over by Critter noise.

Anyway, my creative juices are flowing and wowie, I’m having a great time today thinking about the new branding that will appeal to the primary target market for our Jump To Action Success Series, boomers and gen Xers, leading with women!

Hmmm. An interesting shift from the corporate guy market we originally targeted. I can just see Allan now, glowing as he speaks to great halls filled with beautiful, powerful women! They will just love  him. That’s a slam dunk. And of course, sprinkled in will be those amazing guys who are ready for a BoldMoves ride.

Optimal Operations

Posted by: shaylaroberts | Comments (0)

Today, I’m completing the business plan section called Operations and noticing my own internal operations, or in BoldMoves language, my Optimal Operating State.

If you’ve been following along here for the past few days, you’ve seen my operating state go bi-polar! Not a good thing.

So today, I’m happy to report that I’ve returned to optimal status which means I can actually breathe, and that my yoga was deep and luscious instead of hurried and jerky, and that my walk in the desert this morning included grace and ease, and that the world around me looks more like the colorful buildings in this picture than the steep cliff-to-ocean drop.

All of this because I didn’t push myself to some imaginary deadline for completing Operations. I stayed in flow – not an easy task when both internal and external messages say push, push, push – just get it done.

So, haleluja! I’m in the grace of self-mastery once more!  And now, on to the Technology Plan. Yah, that’s right in my corner pocket of genius. Not!!
