That’s been my mantra for the past three months as I’ve convinced myself to keep writing our business plan even though there were many days when I didn’t have a clue as to what to do next, huffing and puffing my way up the long slow hill. I’m not quite to “I Knew I Could, I Knew I Could,” but by golly, I’m close and I’m just dancing with joy to see once again how the creative process works.
In the beginning, nothing but an intention and ten dozen concepts. Next, exploring those concepts for the ones that may be pertinent. Trying not to close down my options out of a need for completion. Then, massaging the many options into some kind of form and sense. Knowing that what I have isn’t really what I want. Stopping, frowning, shaking the head and wondering how they will every integrate. Then suddenly, just when all seems impossible, breakthrough. Everything falls into place in ways that far exceed the original intention. WaaHoo Choo Choo!
